In the light of current discussions in the Church of Ireland and wider Anglicanism, First Things (which is a network of evangelical groups within the Church of Ireland, including the Church of Ireland Evangelical Fellowship, the Evangelical Fellowship of Irish Clergy, New Wine Ireland and SOMA Ireland) offers this Statement, trusting and praying that it will be a helpful contribution:
WHAT’S IT ABOUT
In a world that constantly undergoes change, discerning truth can be a challenging endeavor. As Christians, our call is to be people rooted in truth, yet the world often presents conflicting narratives. Gospel Partners within the COI (CIEF, EFIC, New Wine, SAFE) are thrilled to be working on an in-person event: 'First Things.' A movement that will seek to unite, encourage and release the evangelical movement within our Church by gathering, resourcing and equipping.
