1 Island, Mission & Gospel || GAFCON Ireland Conference

One Island Mission: Gospel is a half-day gathering hosted by GAFCON Ireland, bringing together church leaders, ministry workers, and Christians from across Ireland for teaching, encouragement, and reflection around the centrality of the gospel and the call to mission in our time.

Set within a rapidly changing and often contested cultural landscape, this event aims to help Christians think clearly and biblically about what it means to remain faithful to Christ, to hold firm to the authority of Scripture, and to live and speak the gospel with confidence, humility, and love in the public square. The morning will create space to reflect on how the church in Ireland can be rooted in historic, orthodox Christianity while engaging missionally with the realities of contemporary society, secularisation, and cultural pressure.

The main speaker will be Bishop Jay Behan (New Zealand), Bishop of the Church of Confessing Anglicans Aotearoa New Zealand (CCAANZ) and Advisor to the GAFCON Primates Council. Bishop Jay brings significant pastoral and episcopal experience in leading churches through seasons of change, challenge, and renewal, particularly within contexts of ecclesial realignment and cultural tension. He will offer a global perspective on gospel faithfulness, church leadership, and mission in contested times, drawing on his experience within the wider Anglican Communion and the GAFCON movement.

The event will run from 9.30am to 1.00pm on Saturday 14 March 2026 at Knockbreda Parish Church, Belfast. The programme will include teaching, time for reflection, and space for conversation with others involved in local church ministry and mission across Ireland.

This gathering is aimed at clergy, lay leaders, students, and anyone with responsibility or interest in gospel ministry and mission in Ireland. It will be of particular value to those navigating the pressures of cultural change, questions of theological clarity, and the practical challenges of leading churches with conviction and grace in the present moment.

Tickets are £10, which includes a light lunch.
Advance booking is required.
